This is my evening - celebrating my first year of doing my own business taxes.

I MIGHT have filed an amendment after I realized I didn't include complete information on the first return I filed on Friday, but they are DONE!

Variations on a Theme

This week has been all about different variations on these great tribal hoops.  I loved the shape and construction so much, I couldn't help but make them a few different ways.  All of these will be up in the shop by the end of the weekend!

 Simple Brushed Copper

 Southwestern Etched Pattern

Patina (this is what I was waiting on last week.  The patina process took almost 4 days!)

Sometimes repetition is nice. :)

Another Exercise in Before and After

Here are some small copper hoops I've been working on.

I actually love this brushed finish, but always the scientist, I wanted to experiment with patina-ing the copper.

So, they've been sitting in an ammonia mixture for several days...so excited to take them out tonight.  It's like Christmas!  (For metal nerds.)

The "After" Picture

A short day in the studio ended with these cuties finished!  The stone is Mammoth Tusk Ivory...that's right...it's fashionable AND historic.

They'll be listed in the Etsy shop tomorrow!

Hi There!

I'm so excited to share projects, etc. here!  I've been running around like a crazy person lately - what else is new - but I've had a bit of studio time to start this copper earring project.  I love seeing the "before" and "after" so here's the before.

These are awesome huge hammered copper hoops.  (Hint...there will be mammoth bone yet to come on these...STAY TUNED!)
